Our Physician Assistant

Barry Perkins, PA-C

A veteran healthcare provider, Mr. Perkins has long felt a call toward patient care and has enjoyed working with people in a number of types of medical settings. He earned his undergraduate degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska in Omaha.  Mr. Perkins has been a Certified Physician’s Assistant for twenty years. For ten years, he served as a Captain in the Medical Specialty Corps of the US Army Reserve. 

As part of the Maryville Orthopedic Team, Mr. Perkins sees patients for routine visits or follow-up appointments. He especially enjoys interacting with his patients and observing the improvement in overall quality of life that he and his fellow practitioners can provide for patients. 

Mr. Perkins and his wife, Ellen, reside in Maryville with their youngest son, Zachary. Their oldest son, Lance, lives in Knoxville with his family. In his leisure time, Mr. Perkins enjoys fishing.
